James Joseph McCartney; b. 15 July 1838, d 3 August 1878 and is buried in West Side Cemetery in Crawford Co. IW

He married Minerva Ellen Wilson b. 19 Feb 1847 and d. 17 July 1909. She is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Ft. Scott, KS

Their son John Henry Mc Cartney b. 29 May 1870 Westside, Crawford, IA - married Lillian Coberly.  John Henry's dtr. Anna Mc Cartney B. 21 June 1913 married a Mr. Thomas.

James' and Minerva's other children were:   William McCartney   Olive McCartney   Ellen McCartney

Minerva was the daughter of my great great grandfather.

I have corresponded with one of his daughters. I would love to find the descendants of Minerva's other children, for I can take them back to port from Ireland on the Wilson Line of Minerva Ellen Wilson.
