I am fortunate that there is a lot of information about my family line but no one has been able to get past my great-great-great-grandfather, Joseph Sira McCartney (1800).

    Married: Nancy on Feb 18, 1838 in Lowdes County, Alabama.
      Born: 1812 in North Carolina
      Died: Aug 27, 1887

    First child: Joseph Andrew
      Born: Jan 10, 1837 in Butler County, Alabama
      Died: July 13, 1924 in LaSalle Parrish, Louisiana

    Second child: George Washington
      Born: 1843 in Butler County, Alabama
      Died: Sept 6, 1915 in Crowville, Franklin, Louisiana

    Third child: Mary Francis
      Born: Aug 13, 1846 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi
      Died: Dec 24, 1902 in LaSalle Parrish, Louisiana

    Fourth child: Franklin
      Birth: 1848 in Mississippi

I'm looking for information that may lead to who his parents were and where they came from. When did this line come to America and from where?
